Our Story
Founded in 2016 by Managing Director Ryan Gates, Gates Homes began with a love for house building and a series of individual homes in and around the Barnsley area.
That passion soon evolved into our first larger project, a carefully planned development of seven town houses, followed by small housing sites including 22 properties at Orchard Croft, Royston and 11 bespoke dwellings at Spring Farm Court in Carlton.
Over the past decade, every project has helped us grow while keeping hold of the standards and care that shaped the company from the start.
Our Mission
We have ambitious plans to take on larger development sites while retaining the core values that have led us here: quality workmanship, high specification choices and a personal, approachable service.
Today, we remain intentionally small scale home builders. Every home receives our full attention, every detail is considered, and every finish reflects our commitment to quality.
We do not aim to be the biggest developer. We aim to be the most trusted name for thoughtfully built homes in South Yorkshire.
